Egypt
Egypt was such a dream. I’ve always wanted to visit The Great Pyramids so for me this trip felt like a love letter to my younger self. To be able to experience such a rich history with my beautiful family is something I will forever be grateful for. A lot of people talk about how in Egypt, Egyptians can be very pushy- but I had an opposite experience. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and treated us as family. Everyone was so kind to my children and wanted to engage with them, with no ask in return.
Cairo Recap
I recommend giving yourself a couple days in Cairo. Since I am traveling with young children and can only spend limited time in each place I prioritize my peace as well as what I want to see. So personally, I like to plan a rest day since my flight was 13+ hours and then a jam packed day, followed by a rest day. However, if you’re a solo traveler or traveling without kids giving yourself two full days in Cairo before flying out I think is most ideal. The day we got in we did a dinner cruise along the Nile. This was great for us because there was so much entertainment, the kids stayed busy and slept great. The next day we did a full day tour of the pyramids and museum starting at 8 AM, and left the next day. Had we had an extra day I would’ve loved to see the Bazaar, seen the city and additional museums.
Pro Tip for Cairo: If Mena House is out of your budget book another hotel and reserve dinner at Mena House to see the sunset over the pyramids.

First Clip and Dinner clip are taken at Mena House, which is linked through the “Book Hotel” button. .
Luxor, Egypt
Giving yourself two fill days in Luxor and a travel day should be enough time to see the highlights. I highly suggest booking a tour of the East and West Banks. A pro tip is to arrive very early at opening time. We booked a 7 AM tour and arrived at Luxor Temple when they first opened. When we arrived we had almost the whole temple to ourselves- when we left around 8:30 AM all the tours were arriving and the place was so crowded. I’ve linked the tours I booked for both Cairo and Luxor which is will bring you to every destination in my videos.

Luxor, Egypt”
Ancient History.
Restaurant: Paris The food here was honestly the best I had in Egypt- they have their own farm across from the restaurant where they grow and harvest all the food fresh. This is a must stop- if you book my tour below don’t worry about this as they will bring you there and is already included in the price.
Tours are the best way to make sure you are getting the most out of your trip. Now hear me out- it may be more expensive, but I highly recommend booking a private tour. This is what we did and it allowed us to move at our own pace, take more or less time in certain places without needing to wait for everyone, or feel rushed. If you have small children I really wouldn’t recommend the group tours we saw a few and it is hectic with the number of people as well as the crowds, and heat- spend some extra money for the peace of mind.
